Neurofeedback Strategies for Regulation and Recovery
Attention challenges are among the most common concerns clinicians encounter in neurofeedback practice, but they rarely present in isolation.
What You Will Learn
Sleep difficulties are among the most common signs of nervous system dysregulation and often provide important clues about a client’s arousal regulation, instability, and overall capacity for recovery. Problems with falling asleep, staying asleep, early waking, restless sleep, vivid dreams, nightmares, non-restorative sleep, and irregular sleep rhythms may each point to different underlying patterns that can inform clinical decision-making.
This 90-minute workshop will explore sleep dysregulation through the lens of ILF Neurofeedback, with a focus on understanding how arousal, instability, trauma history, pain, hormonal shifts, medication effects, and lifestyle factors may contribute to sleep-related symptoms.
The first hour will include a theory-based discussion of common sleep presentations, assessment considerations, symptom tracking, and training strategies that may support improved regulation, deeper rest, and better recovery.
The final 30 minutes will be dedicated to questions and discussion, giving participants the opportunity to bring clinical observations, protocol questions, and case-related challenges into the conversation. This workshop is designed to help clinicians think more clearly and confidently about sleep-related concerns and how to approach them within an individualized ILF Neurofeedback framework.
